What started it all....

Matt was always talking about needing to drive to Lexington, Ky to get in his "calzone fix" I wasn't quite understanding of this, always telling him "just drive up to Bearno's or something and grab one!" But after a trip to Lexington for Keeneland he just had to get his calzone. Now this isn't just any calzone, its one from Slice (Slice of Chicago) I'd never had a calzone before, as I'm not a huge fan of pizza, but agreed to sharing one...well that's where it started...I LOVEEED IT. We scarfed it down in a matter of minutes, and right then I understood Matt's obsession with Slice's Calzone. Weeks after Keeneland passed and all we talked about were calzone's and thinking of reasons we needed to drive to Lexington to get another one. INstead of that we thought somewhere in Louisville there has to be a calzone comparable, right?? So here we are...dedicating the next year to searching all of Louisville's Pizzerias for a calzone that can compare to the goodness of the one we had on that day from Slice of Chicago!
