Comments: The calzone was brought out looking unlike any other calzone we'd ever seen, it was served up in a foil bowl, the calzone was in the middle and covered, or shall we say smotherd in sauce, then topped off with a layer of cheese. After figuring out the calzone was in the middle of the dish we cut into it, it was nice and hot and the calzone was extra thick and filled with lots of cheese and toppings! When you got a taste of the crust it was delicious, but both of us agreed we would've liked less sauce all over and more crust. Overall the calzone was good, but not measuring up to Slice's...
Pizzeria Rating:
Cleanliness: 7/10, 70% C
Ambiance: 3/10 (not much ambiance, and we're being nice here) 30% F
Friendliness: 6/10, 60% D
Service: 6/10, 60% D
Comments: The pizzeria is small, but clean (They received an A, 95 from the Health Department.) After sitting in one of the booths for five minutes or so we were finally greeted by the server. Overall he was friendly, we were left alone much of our visit and not really checked on throughout the meal. They offer Eat-in, Delivery, and carry-out! They serve things ranging from salads, pasta dishes, pizzas, and a wide range of appetizers. Average price on the menu is about 8.99 and Beers (Longnecks) are $2.50-$3.50.
PROS: Tastes good, nearby.
CONS: The place on first glance seems a little sketchy. Don't park behind the building in the alley, it definitely looks shady---park on the street. Seems like more of a delivery or carry-out place than an eat-in. The calzone has too much Sauce smothered all over it, which made the crust kinda soggy. It didn't even look like a calzone the way it was presented ( looked more like we got a plate of lasagna!)
SUGGESTIONS: It's 2010 so time to GO GREEN! Try using real silverware, drinking glasses, plates etc. Rather than styrofoam cups and containers. They could also be a bit friendlier so that they made people want to come back! They shouldn't charge .50 cents for water!!
